Assessments generally run for 1- 2 hours, in which time we are able to assess gross and fine motor skills, visual skills, self care and independence, handwriting and pencil grip, as well as play and sensory processing
We strongly believe in the importance of input from parents/carers in sessions so that skills learnt in the clinic can be practised at home and parents feel confident with home implementation.
Further support outside the clinic is possible through visits to preschool, school or home in order to demonstrate therapy techniques to educators, parents or carers & assist in the child’s skill
They can be conducted at the clinic or at preschool/school with a view to demonstrating the support techniques your child needs to their teachers.
Therapy Point is able to provide information sessions for preschools, schools or at home regarding sensory processing, DIR/Floortime therapy.
